Madd Engineering Mount Kit (bmk.ef.001)

Basic Installation Instructions

Applications:

For installation of B16, B17, B18 or B20 engine, into 1988-1991 Honda Civic/CRX.

Required mounts:

·         Rear Transmission Mount

·         Side Transmission Mount

·         Side Engine Mount

Installation Instructions: Pre-Swap

·         Remove hood and stock motor, as well as stock motor mounts.

·         Create an indentation on driver side chassis large enough for alternator pulley clearance

·         Trim or bend the rear cross member lip in, this is to obtain clearance for the B-series transmission mount.

·         Install the Side engine mount onto the block.

Swap Procedures:

·         Install the rear MT transmission L bracket onto the motor/transmission.

·         Lift the motor with an engine hoist and lower the engine into the bay.

·         Line up the rear mount with the Rear transmission mount provided in the kit.

·         Insert the bolt through the mount, do not torque the bolt down at this time.

·         Install the Side transmission mount onto the transmission.

·         With a floor jack or engine hoist, raise the motor/transmission to line up the Side transmission mount to the stock chassis mount.

·         Insert the bolt and do not torque bolt at this time.

·         Line up the Side engine mount (Driver side) with the chassis bracket.

·         Insert bolt, do not torque down at this time.

·         Check and make sure the motor is straight in relation to the chassis.

·         Torque all the bolts.

        Intermediate Shaft:

·         Use any B-series shaft

             Drive Shafts:

·         Swap Shop drive shafts ba.ef.001
